Abstract
The paper reports the investigation of changes of aerodynamic and structural performance yielded by the variation of the blade design parameters by combination of Multi-objective Genetic Algorithm (GA) with the approximate model method. Based on the deep understanding of the impacts of blade design parameters on the aerodynamic and structural performance, optimal design point is searched by feasible design selection strategy and the optimized impeller aerodynamic and strength performance meet the design requirements, and this indicates that the method has some practical value in engineering.
