Abstract
OBJECTIVE: The effects and the optimal technical parameters of ultrasound on the extraction of sophoricoside were investigated. METHODS: The sophoricoside was acquired by ultrasonic extraction and refluxing from Sophora japonica L. The extract was analyzed by RP-HPLC, the crystal got from Sophora japonica L. was identified by NMR and IR. The optimal technical parameters were obtained by orthogonal analysis, RESULTS: (1) The crystal was sophoricoside. Its purity was 96.8%. (2) The suitable power used in the course of extraction was 800 W and the optimal duration of extraction was 20 min. The time of pulse on and pulse off had no significant effects on the extraction. CONCLUSIONS: (1) Sophoricoside crystal can be acquired via these methods. (2) The method of ultrasonic drug extraction appeared to be simple, convenient and efficient.
