Study on synthesis stability control of the fractional frequency transmission system

Abstract

The paper proposed a nonlinear excitation controller coordinated with the compensative capacitor of the Frequency Tripler for Fractional Frequency Transmission System (FFTS). The nonlinear cooperative controller, which is designed basing on the theory of direct linearization over wide range, can not only enhance the stability of FFTS, but also decrease the fluctuation of generator voltage and the Frequency Tripler voltage, and assure the stability of working point of the Frequency Tripler. Simulation results show that the nonlinear cooperative controller is more suitable for FFTS than conventional nonlinear excitation controller.
