Study on shrinkage properties of photopolymer resin for laser rapid-prototyping

Abstract

By carefully and deeply analyzing and studying the solidification process of photopolymer resin and based on the vast experiments a mathematical model was developed for the calculation of resin shrinkage, and some conclusions were presented about how to reduce the ellects of resin shrinkage on the parts accuracy , which effectively solved the effects of the shrinkage on parts accuracy. In addition, some requirements for the properties of resin used in the process of laser rapid-prototyping were mentioned.
