Abstract
Employing hyperelastic-viscoelastic-plastoelastic constitutive model, mechanical model of a novel rubber isolator is established and the dynamic characteristics are studied. The analysis results are compared with the available experimental results and the reliability of the model is verified. According to the restoring force-displacement hysteresis loops obtained, the effects of frequency and dynamic displacement amplitude on the dynamic stiffness of the isolator are studied. Based on the hysteresis loops obtained, the nonlinear restoring force model of the isolator is figured out and the parameter identification is carried out. The dynamic performance of the vibration isolation system is studied based on the model of restoring force. The results indicate that the rubber isolator has little effects on the vibration at low frequencies and its vibration isolation effect is obvious at high frequencies, the force transfer rate increases with the frequency increasing, the isolation effect can be up to 96%. The modeling and parameter identification methods offer a theoretical basis and analysis approach for optimization design and engineering application of such rubber vibration isolator.
