Abstract

This paper establishes a design and off-design model for the gas and steam combined cycle (CCGT) based on a new generation 300 MW class heavy-duty gas turbine model, and the models mainly include those for multistage axial-flow turbine, single-pressure waste heat boiler and booster pump. Then a CCGT is studied using Matlab to analyze its off-design performance under constant pressure operation and sliding pressure operation by varying the gas turbine load. The comprehensive control strategy is studied with different load of gas turbine and compared with other control strategies. The results show that the comprehensive is better than other control strategies, and the constant-sliding-constant pressure operation is the best.
