Study on integrated optimization of multi-mode project payment scheduling

The assumptions of the study are identified and the notations are defined firstly. Then the optimization models of multi-mode project payment scheduling problems (MPPSP) are constructed from the contractor's and the client's viewpoints respectively. On the basis of the results achieved, the problem of allocating financing costs between the both sides of the contract is investigated. The MPPSP from the integrated viewpoint of the contractor and the client is clarified and its optimization model that is composed of two optimization models is established. Through solving this model, the satisfactory payment schedule, which can not only maximize the collective profits of the contractor and the client but also allocate project's financing costs between them, may be obtained. Ultimately, the outcomes of the paper are illustrated by a practical instance.
