Abstract

Whether we can correctly understand the frictional resistance characteristics of the modified dry fracturing fluid or not would influence the fracture technology's effective implementation. Hence, the frictional resistance of modified dry fracturing fluid in a down-hole condition has been studied on a large-scale flow-loop experiment system. The experimental results show that the frictional resistance coefficient of the modified dry fracturing fluid increases with the increase of pressure, temperature and the foam quality, decreases with the increase of flow velocity. The results also show that the temperature has a little activation on the frictional resistance coefficient. And we have established a correlation of the frictional resistance coefficient and the generalized Reynolds number with the average error of 9.19%.
