Abstract

A novel conductive polymer microsphere-poly[pyrrole-2, 5-diyl-(p- dimethylamino henzylidane)] microsphere was obtained by the acid-catalyzing static interfacial polymerization of pyrrole and p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde. The effects of the kinds of acid-catalyzer. concentration of acid-catalyzer and reaction temperature on microspheres formation were studied by SEM analysis. The FT-IR spectrum of the synthesized polymer indicates that its structure is similar to that of ring-opening porphyrin.
