Abstract
The titania/hydroxyapatite film was prepared by micro-arc oxidation and hydrothermal synthesis. The microstructure and compositions of the film were analysed by SEM, XRD and EDX. The results show that at room temperature the titanium film including Ca+ and P+ is formed on the titanium alloy substrate in the electrolytic solution with micro-arc oxidation, from which the titania/hydroxyapatite film is obtained after later hydrothermal treatment. The biocompatibility of the film is improved and is very useful to the implantation.
