Abstract

A Ti: sapphire laser pumped by a frequency doubled Q-switched Nd:YAG laser was studied theoretically and experimentally. In experiment when pumping power is 6.8W and with a repetition-rate of 5 kHz, an output power of 2.08 W is obtained with a stable slope efficiency 30%.
