Abstract
Along with the rapid development of the global LNG industry, the demand for LNG receiving terminals and gasification systems are increased promptly. The application of the submersible LNG pumps installed in the airtight containers is becoming more and more popular. A discussion covers the unique structure characteristics of the submersible LNG pumps; irreplaceable edges against the general pumps; wide application of the submersible LNG pumps; key problems in the home-made submersible LNG pumped development, which needed to be resolved; and predictions on its feasibilities.
