Abstract

Structural dynamical monitoring and fault diagnosis are of great importance to diagnose, prognoses faults, or failures of structures. Many novelty methods are proposed to detect faults in the components of structures. Authors of a paper, entitled 'Stayed-Cable Bridge Damage Detection and Localization Based on Accelerometer Health Monitoring Measurements', have developed a structural health monitoring scheme using accelerators, time series analysis, response spectra, and the power density spectra to construct in situ monitor of the damage condition of bridge.
