Abstract

The structure and dielectric properties of (1-x)Bi(In0.20Ga 0.05Sc0.75)O3-xPbTiO3 (x = 0.55∼0.70) ceramics (BIGS-PT) have been investigated. BIGS-PT ceramics show good piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties: d33 = 295 pC/N, kP = 43.0%, Pr = 19.2 C/cm2, and Ec = 34.9 kV/mm, respectively. The temperature dependence of dielectric constant of BIGS-PT reveals that the Curie temperature Tc increases with increasing of PbTiO3 content. The higher dielectric strength means that BIGS-PT is a promising high power electromechanical material.
