Strain engineering of metal nanostructures for catalysis

Abstract

The lattice strain has been recently recognizing as an important factor that manifests a huge impact on the catalytic performance of heterogeneous catalysts. This article will briefly introduce the lattice strain, the role of lattice strain in catalysis, the strategies for strain engineering, and the related characterization techniques, aiming to guide the development of strain-optimized catalysts for efficient heterogeneous catalysis.
