Abstract
A stereolithography-oriented online pricing engine is developed using Internet & Intranet. Use is made of an accurate build-time prediction in addition to a detailed algorithm. The online pricing engine is constructed by the application of ActiveX controls with functions of file operation, build preferences selection, slicing, volume and build-time estimation and pricing result printout etc. The advantages of the present approach are high speed, high accuracy and friendly interface. A case study is presented to validate the engine's availability and accuracy.
