Abstract
An extensive quantitative analysis is carried out on the steady state of the energy optimized control for series power quality controller (SPQC) based on phasor diagram method. The load current phasor is used as the reference phasor and this leads to a simpler and clearer phasor diagram for quantitative relationship. Three different modes for the energy optimized control strategy of SPQC are then proposed according to different relationship between the source voltage magnitude and the load power factor. Subsequently detailed steady state analysis of SPQC under the energy optimized control is provided for different modes in both voltage sag and voltage swell, from which the analytic expressions and curves for the steady state compensation characteristic of related variables are obtained in different voltage disturbances. In the end, computer simulation and experimental results are shown to verify the validity of all the analysis and different modes of control.
