Status of research into the measurement of partial discharge under repetitive impulse voltage

Development of research on the measurement of partial discharge under repetitive voltage is briefly introduced, especially about the inverter-fed motors. The main measurement system are summarized in this paper. We have analyzed some controversial conclusions and some matters which need further research. From actual conditions, some methods are brought out to prolong the life of inverter-fed motors.
