Abstract
Based on the small perturbation and linearizing PH methods, the equations of the static and dynamic characteristics of three-pad-tilting bearing were deduced, and the numerical results were obtained on the sub-relaxing finite difference method. Through comparison, the static characteristics parameters and sixteen dynamic parameters were obtained. The factors affecting changes of the static and dynamic parameters were discussed. According to the calculation, the effects of bearing number and eccentricity ratio on the static and dynamic parameters of rotor-bearing system are more evident. And the values of pad parameters are recommended to L/D = 1.0 and α/β = 0.65.
