Abstract
This study investigated the absorption spectrum and the fluorescence spectrum of the voltage sensitive dye (di-4-ANEPPS) in perfusates. The results indicated that the maximum absorption peak of the dye was nearly at 480 nm. Additionally, the calcium channel blocker BDM doesn't affect the peak of absorption spectrum. Meanwhile, the peak of fluorescence emission spectrum of the dye in the distilled water are same as that in the fresh perfusate, but it is moved to the blue side of the spectrum in the perfusate after perfusion. These results are a theoretical foundation for the design of a cardiac optical mapping system.
