Abstract

The solubility of imperatorin in the binary system of ethanol and water was measured by using UV spectrophotometric method from 288.2 K to 328.2 K. The solubility of imperatorin increases with increasing temperature and the ethanol content of the mixture. The solubility data were correlated with a modified Apelblat equation. From solubilities of imperatorin, the enthalpy and entropy of solution were evaluated using van't Hoff equation.
