Abstract

The experiment on single-phase convection in circular pipe with metal foams was studied using the superheated steam of R134a. The effects of different parameters of metal foams on single-phase convection and pressure loss were discussed. Because of the contacted thermal resistance between metal foams and pipe wall, the effects of diverse fill method and diverse material of metal foams on the total heat transfer performance were also discussed.
