Abstract

Solar-assisted coal-fired power generation couples solar collector system and coal-fired power generation system in thermal system, which can simultaneously decrease the investment of concentrated solar power and energy consumption of coal-fired power plant. It is an effective solution to the diversified transformation of the energy structure, energy saving and emission reduction. The dynamic characteristics of an integrated system, in which the trough solar collector system is connected in parallel to high-pressure heaters of coal-fired plant, with step disturbance of direct normal irradiance and feedwater flowrate ratio were studied, The results show that the output power increases with the step increase of direct normal irradiance. Moreover, the output power first decreases and then increases to a steady state value with the step decrease of feedwater flowrate ratio. Both The output power variation and response time increase with the number of high-pressure heaters paralleled with trough collector system.
