Abstract

With the development of medium voltage DC (MVDC) distribution network, the research of MVDC circuit breaker has also been paid more attention. In this paper, a simulation model is established to analyze the influence of the stray inductance on the oscillation circuit breaker based on ETMF, and the influences of the main and branch stray inductance on the commutated time, zero-crossing speed and maximum commutated current are obtained. An experiment was built to verify the validity of simulation. The simulation model provides a reference for the stray parameter selection of the oscillating DCCB with the arc voltage as the excitation source.
