Abstract
According to the structure features of arc quenching chamber and operation mechanism, a simulation method for arc quenching chamber and operation mechanism displacement characteristics of SF 6 puffer circuit breaker is proposed. By building up a numerical model of arc quenching chamber and a simulation model of operation mechanism for a circuit breaker, the simulation and analysis of mechanical and breaking characteristics are realized, and the structure parameters of arc quenching chamber and operation components are achieved. The proposed method may provide a basis for the conversion of design method of SF6circuit breaker from experience and experimental validation to simulation.
