Abstract

Using the Langevis Theory of Brownian motion of microparticles in the fluid and the motion equation of particles, the aggregation of nano-particles suspended in a base fluid has been simulated. The fractal theory is applied to analyze the aggregation structure of nano-particles suspension. A kind of diffusion-limited colloid aggregation (DLCA) for simulating the unregular motion of nano-particles was built. The simulation results revealed that the fractal dimension varied with the radius and the volume fraction of the nano-particles.
