Abstract

As a rule nanoantennas represent shaped nanodipoles placed either in some media or mounted on the planar dielectric substrate. In this paper we propose some designs which are new for nanoantennas, namely, shaped silver nanodipoles like a traditional nanodipole and a shaped slotted torus nanodipole are placed on the glass circular cylindrical substrate. In these designs nanodipoles are mounted on the cylindrical substrates in different ways that we call E-polar as well as H-polar cases. Also in the paper the slotted torus nanodipole is discussed on the planer substrate. We present results of the theoretical study in which we turn attention to the plasmon resonant frequencies, their field structures and input impedance behavior versus frequency. The principal and high modes open-circuit resonances are discussed. Results were obtained using FEM solver in the CST Studio software.
