Abstract
Single-crystalline molybdenum disulphide (MoS2) nanowires are prepared by a hydrothermal method. The single-crystalline MoS2 nanowires display substantial ferromagnetism at room temperature. The S vacancies and Mo-edges are possible mechanisms responsible for the observed ferromagnetism at room temperature.
