Reverse measurement scheme method oriented to complex structural components

Abstract

A novel reverse measurement scheme method for complex structural components was presented. Based on studies of function-structure hierarchical mapping, a meta-feature decoupling method was presented to extract basic measurement elements. Information model for meta-features'attributes were constructed which including accuracy feature, feature complicatedness, and information model for measurement method which including measurement accuracy was also set up. Influencing factors set of the matching quality was then constructed and relationships of these attributes were also studied. Based on fuzzy synthetic method, the optimal method for the measurement of each meta-feature was selected through both qualitative and quantitative analysis. To optimize the whole measurement process, the discrete meta-features were assembled. Finally, the proposed method was applied in the measurement of an automobile engine cylinder head and reconstruction of its geometry model. Experimental results showed that this method could improve the efficiency and quality in reverse design.
