Abstract
To better withstand extreme events, it is of growing concern to build resilient distribution networks to restore power supply in a fast and timely manner after being damaged. Soft open point (SOP) is a new type of distribution equipment with excellent performance, especially multi-port SOP, which can improve the resilience of distribution networks. In this paper, considering the functional characteristics and operational boundaries of SOP, grid-related constraints, and the intensity of natural disaster attacks, a defense-attack-defense model with four-port SOP as the main power electronic switches, i.e., a resilience-oriented optimal allocation model, is proposed. The column-and-constraint (C&CG) generation algorithm is leveraged as the solution approach. The proposed model is tested in the IEEE 33-node system with set-up disaster scenarios, and the results show that the obtained four-port SOP allocation scheme has a better effect on the resilience enhancement of the distribution network.
