Abstract
Under the dual pressures of energy crisis and environmental degradation, and to make full use of renewable energy, we propose the concept of integrated energy system (IES), in which power system is a core. Coordination and optimization of various energy resources, such as electricity, gas, cold/heat during their distribution, transformation, storage and consumption, are achieved. From the viewpoint of system planning and operation, researches on reliability evaluation is of great significance to promoting the development of IES. Based on the background, definition, meaning, and typical architecture of IES, the current research status of reliability evaluation is summarized, and problems on reliability evaluation of IES that need to be urgently resolved are concluded from three aspects: model, algorithm, and index system. Furthermore, the future research directions are introduced, which can provide a reference and suggestion for the reliability evaluation of IES.
