Abstract

The recent research achievements of aluminum/zinc-resistant nonferrous materials for immersion parts of die-casting and hot-galvanizing industry were summarized, iencluding refractory metals and alloys, intermetallic compounds, ceramics and composites. The characteristics and application prospects of these materialswer introduced and this corosionresistanc mechanisms of this mat rialsinmoltenmetal were discussed. According to the development and application environment of the aluminum/zinc industry, the main research directions of molten aluminum/zinc-resistant materials were outlined.
