T1 - Research on the register system modelling and control of gravure printing press

N2 - The register accuracy is the most important performance of gravure printing press. In order to improve the control accuracy of register, an accurate mathematical model of the register error and a high-performance controller should be researched. In this article, the mathematical model of the register error and the elimination of interference caused by the speed and tension of web by the feed-forward control scheme are studied. The established mathematical model and the feed-forward control scheme are validated by the numerical simulation and multi-colour gravure printing press test. The results show that the established register error model is accurate and reliable, and the designed feed-forward control scheme effectively reduces the register error caused by the tension and speed fluctuation.
