Abstract
In this study, the characteristic of the second dominant frequency of supersonic and sonic steam jet is investigated experimentally, while the steam mass flux 400-900 kg·m-2·s-1 and water temperature 20-70℃. It was found that the second dominant frequency of supersonic nozzles in different design pressure ratio decreases with the rise of steam mass flux and water temperature. Besides, according to the previous correlation formula about sonic nozzle, a new dimensionless correlation of the second dominant frequency is proposed and the design pressure ratio is added to revise based on the experimental data. The predicted deviation is within ±16%.
