Abstract
SF6 is the most important insulating medium for inflatable casing and plays a key role, however, the existing studies on the form and mechanism of SF6 insulation failure are insufficient, especially after considering the role of high harmonic voltage, the insulation failure and breakdown characteristics of SF6 are less studied in the sulfur hexafluoride high-pressure cavity under different waveforms. In this paper, through the sulfur hexafluoride high-pressure cavity, under different voltage waveforms and harmonic superposition, different conditions of breakdown experiments are carried out, and the experimental results in the paper are the breakdown strength (amplitude) from large to small: (IF) > (IF + high-frequency harmonics) > (single high-frequency sinusoidal).
