Abstract
The former research of UHIis lack of universal operation and guide significance due to the obvious regional characteristics. This paper studied the spatial forming mechanism of UHI and planning mitigation countermeasures both theoretically and practically, and proved part of theory by taking Xi'an-Xianyang new district as an example. By analyzing the spatial forming mechanism from two scales, that is urban and community, we put forward planning mitigation countermeasures to different spatial scales. And then in case study, the paper analyzes the characteristics of Xi'an-Xianyang new district UHI in two scales, which to prove and deepen the former discussion.
