Abstract
With the practice of low-carbon development and energy transformation of power systems, more renewable energy will be connected to the power system by forming multiple microgrids. This paper proposes a reliability evaluation framework of the distribution system considering its interactions with microgrids. The proposed method expatiates the relationship between system-level and microgrid-level reliability evaluation. Specifically, for the evaluation of the distribution system, the microgrid model can be simplified as an average value model, and obtain reliability indices of the system and load points. For the evaluation of microgrids, utilize the failure rate index of point of common coupling (PCC) as the input information that reflects the distribution system's impact to implement the evaluation task. The proposed framework is verified by the modified IEEE-123 test system. Results show that the simplified microgrid model can improve the evaluation efficiency while maintaining the accuracy of the distribution system evaluation.
