Abstract
The Reflectivity method is extended to compute the seismograms of diffusive-viscous wave in multiple diplayered media. The elastic diffusive-viscous wave equation is firstly investigated by considering the shear motion. Then, we use the extended reflectivity method to simulate the propagation of diffusive-viscous wave without considering the shear waves. Finally, we simulate the propagation of elastic diffusive-viscous waves in diplayered media. The numerical results demostrate the validity of our extension. Both examples show strong attenuation properties of diffusive-viscous waves and the extent of attenuation depends on the two parameters in diffusive-viscous wave equation.
