Abstract

Recent advances in computational techniques for MHD flows and application to fusion will be briefly reviewed, which includes different approaches for calculation of the Lorentz force with focus on the consistent and conservative scheme for the electrical potential formulation. The application of MHD solver on R&D of DCLL blanket and liquid metal divertor will be addressed with focus on the 3D flows in a blanket with FCI (flow channel insert).
