Abstract

As the most popular mobile operating system, Android has received considerable attention from the security community. One major security concern is that Android apps are easily reversed and in turn modified and repackaged due to their inherent development and construction schemes, result ing in negative effects on the developers' reputation as well as the Android ecosystem. Hence, there is an acute demand for Android developers to take methods to protect the apps from reverse engi neering. In this chapter, we will outline state-of-the-art weapons regarding antireverse engineering.
