Abstract
This paper presents a probabilistic modeling method for interconnected power systems based on the equivalent energy function approach. The proposed method rigorously treats probabilistic properties of unit residual capacities and the transmission capacities, and provides more accurate simulation of the energy exchange processes between two interconnected power system. The numerical examples given in the paper illustrate high accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
