Preparation of porous Co-Cr-Mo alloy by vacuum centrifugal infiltration method

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Preparation of porous Go-Cr-Mo alloy by vacuum centrifugal infiltration method was conducted, by using the specimen and gating system manufactured by rapidly manufacturing method and the mold cavity obtained by ZrO2 investment casting as well as two kinds of self-screen filling materials. The processing parameters for the preparation were researched. The results showed that the porous Co-Cr-Mo alloy bone frame produced by the method has the features of good connectivity and high porous rate, providing a basis for the application to man-made living bone.
