Abstract
A sodium hyaluronate/β-tricalcium phosphate composite hydrogel was prepared by in situ gelation method using adipic dihydrazide(ADH) as cross-linking agent. The effects of β-tricalcium phosphate content on structure, morphology and phase of composite hydrogel were investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Compressive strength and swelling properties of Hydrogels were also investigated. The results showed that the structure of hydrogel network became dense with the increase of β-tricalcium phosphate content, the average pore size ranges from 100~200 μm, the swelling rate decreased with the increase of tricalcium phosphate content, and the compressive strength of hydrogel increased firstly and then decreased, reached a maximum at 7∶3 sodium hyaluronate/tricalcium phosphate mass weight. This kind of hydrogel had the potential to be a biomedical material.
