Abstract
The Fe3O4 nano-particles were prepared by a precipitation method, and the magnetic polymer microspheres P(St-GMA)/Fe3O4 were synthesized by dispersion polymerization using the modified Fe3O4, styrene (St) and glucidylmethacrylate (GMA). The morphology and crystal structure of Fe3O4 nano-particles were investigated. The influence of preparation conditions for the magnetic microspheres on their magnetite content was analyzed. The microstructure of the magnetic microspheres was characterized via X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermal analysis (TG) and Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR). The results indicated that the size distribution of the magnetic polymer microspheres was narrow, and the content of the magnetite in the microsphere was 74% at most.
