Abstract
The interferences often appear in partial discharge detection. Many methods have been developed to suppress interference. In order to decrease the influence of background signal on the frequency-domain analysis and to observe the characteristic peaks of the measured signal easier, we have studied some simple practical methods to suppress the background signals in ultra-wideband partial discharge detection. Mostly, the sampled signals include discharge signal and background noise, so a method to extract the discharge signal for frequency spectrum analysis was designed. And a D-value Method is also designed to process the signal data before and after discharge respectively. After data processing, a frequency spectrum of the discharge signal is available. It is obvious in practical use that these methods can suppress background interference effectively.
