Abstract

In order to decrease the measurement error of piezoelectric-cantilever current sensor caused by position and orientation errors, a position and orientation correction scheme including an array of piezoelectric cantilever and a system of nonlinear equations is presented in this paper. By solving the system with the values of piezoelectric outputs, current to be measured can be derived. Results of experiments of passive sensing are presented, proving the validity of the proposed correction scheme. Theoretical analysis of active sensing gives insights to future research.
