Abstract
Pool boiling heat transfer data of six different open-cell copper foam coated tubes are presented. The experimental results indicate that these open-cell copper foam tubes can enhance pool boiling heat transfer of refrigerant R134a if the structure parameters are properly selected, and at not high heat flux range the enhanced ratio can reach 2.6~4.4 compared with smooth tube.
