Abstract

Objective: To investigate the polymorphism of DXS6799, HPRTB in Xi'an Han population and in Tibet Luoba population. Methods: The DXS6799 and HPRTB loci were analyzed by PCR following polyacylamide gel electrophoresis and silver staining. Results: Among 123 females and 92 males from Xi'an Han population, 6 alleles were detected in DXS6799 locus, frequencies ranging from 0.016 0 to 0.484 01, PDF: 0.851 6, PDM: 0.6157; while 8 alleles were detected in HPRTB locus, frequencies ranging from 0.011 0 to 0.290 0, PD F: 0.797 4, PDM: 0.703 9. Among 66 females and 28 males from Tibet Luoba population, 5 alleles were detected in DXS6799 locus, frequencies ranging from 0.022 2 to 0.607 4, PDF: 0.768 4, PD M: 0.580 5, and 5 alleles were detected in HPRTB locus, frequencies ranging from 0.042 0 to 0.386 6, PDF: 0.866 1, PDM: 0.702 9. Conclusion: The DXS6799 and HPRTB loci are appropriate for individual identification and paternity testing involving a female child.
