Abstract
This chapter focuses on the interfaces of the planar solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) stack development (Sections 13.1 to 13.6), which is important but not usually discussed in existing SOFC books. From Section 13.7 onward, we identify and discuss the current SOFC commercialization challenge, wherein a missing aspect rarely considered in the SOFC textbooks and long R&D history is to design the SOFC stack from customer and practical use aspects and demands. This is a critical issue for developing and manufacturing the marketable SOFC products. How to make the high-tech SOFC products as commonly marketable products to get the market acceptance has been raised in current SOFC commercialization agenda.
