Pilot study on the method to ascertain parameters of fluidized bed reactor

Abstract

The fluidized bed is usually used as reduction reactor in the area of smelting reduction based on fine ore. This paper studies on a method which can ascertain some main parameters of fluidized bed reactor. Some formulas have been given for the calculation of minimum fluidization velocity, terminal velocity, fluidized bed size and so on. The contrast between the results of formulas and parameters of reactors which have been used previously is taken, and two of them fit quite well. The applicability of these formulas is preferably and formulas can be used to ascertain main parameters of fluidized bed reactor.
